the estate >
us pick the olives – it is an active, exciting time, the culmination
of a year’s work. Picking starts around 20th October and finishes
at the beginning of December (when the mills close). Teams of pickers from Belgium, England, Ireland,
Scotland, France and Germany (some of whom have been coming here for
7 years!) stay with us for a week and combine an active, open-air
working holiday with the opportunity to meet old friends, make new
ones and also see something of the region.
It’s a mixture of work and play.
